About Me

An engineering leader with software engineering roots and a track record of modernizing legacy enterprise platforms.

My Story

My career in technology started in the mid-1990s as a network administrator, where I learned the fundamentals of building and maintaining the systems that businesses depend on. Over the years, those foundations proved invaluable as technology evolved and my roles grew in scope.

After more than 15 years building infrastructure and writing line-of-business software in C# and SQL Server, I moved into the Salesforce ecosystem in 2015 and found a platform that needed the same engineering rigor I'd been applying everywhere else. Too often, Salesforce is treated as a user-configurable app rather than a software engineering platform.

I set out to change that. Over seven years at Inspirato, I rebuilt the Salesforce engineering function from a single remaining team member to ten engineers and administrators, migrated the platform from change-set-based deployment to packaged CI/CD delivery, cut regressions in half, increased release cadence from every 1–2 weeks to daily, and stood up a SOX-compliant release process from scratch, which passed four audit cycles in a row. I'm now looking for the next platform to apply that same engineering discipline to, Salesforce or otherwise.

My Approach

Three principles that guide how I build teams and systems.

Engineering Excellence

Salesforce development is software engineering. I bring source control, CI/CD, modular architecture, and engineering best practices to every platform I lead.

Team Development

Great platforms are built by great teams. I invest in growing people's technical capabilities and fostering autonomy so teams can deliver independently.

Pragmatic Architecture

Modernization doesn't mean overcomplicating. I focus on architectural changes that deliver measurable results: fewer regressions, faster delivery, better maintainability.
